I'm continuing my efforts to pare down my "To Do" stash of unfinished Christmas cards and also SCS challenges catch-ups. In researching challenges for this card, I found a record 14 challenges it would fit!! Here they are:
1) CCC20MAR - Christmas Card Challenge, March 2020/ "Peace" - 3/1/20. Anything Christmas brings me an overwhelming sense of peace, but especially the beautiful blooms of the poinsettia Christmas flowers.
2) DINSP0220 - Dirty Dozen Monthly Themes Challenge, February 2020/ "Better Together" - 2/17/20. I was thinking Christmas cards, and the two pair of red & white shoes and the green & white shoes in the photo were a color inspiration that brought to mind red & green are the perfect pair at Christmas. That thought brought to mind red poinsettias with their green leaves.
3) AOCC20 - All Occasion Card Challenge/ February 2020. This card is part of my monthly Christmas card goal needed.
4) USEIT2020 - Use It Challenge/ Use items that haven't been used and are gathering dust..."old, old" or "new but old" - Annual/ 1/1/20. Finishing modifications to a 2017 Christmas card kit.
5) MMTPT599 - Teapot Challenge/ "Mad Libs" - 1/14/20. My three words are: love, poinsettia, beautiful. "We love that our poinsettia will make Theresa feel beautiful."
6) F4A510 - Free 4 All Challenge/ "Deck the Halls!" - 11/29/19. My poinsettia card fits something I would definitely decorate my halls with for Christmas.
7) ABC11N14 - Alphabet Challenge, Round 11/ "Letter N" - 6/5/19. My N = negative die-cutting.
CAS530 - Clean & Simple Challenge/ "Negative Die-Cuts" - 4/22/19. My negative die-cut poinsettia bloom and leaves are perfect negative die-cuts!
9) SCSCCFEB19 - SCS Dirty Dozen Christmas Card Challenge, February 2019/ "Start Decorating Your House" - 2/1/19. My poinsettia card definitely shows one of my favorite things to decorate my house with at Christmas.
10) MIX288 - Mix-Ability Challenge/ "Pop of Red" - 8/3/18. My mediums are red stamping ink and Copic alcohol marker pearl coloring.
11) FS572 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ "There's a DIVA in the House" - 1/21/18. Featured stamper: Art Deco Diva aka Karen. I have always admired Karen's wonderful card art. I chose this card for inspiration: Rustic Pinecone and Poinsettia Christmas Card. I kept the Christmas theme and poinsettias for my card, but change the style from vintage to clean & simple.
12) WT667 - Ways to Use It Challenge/ "Color Me Christmas" - 12/21/17. Use two mediums...mine are: stamping ink and Copic marker pearl coloring.
13) IC627 - Inspiration Challenge/ "Southern Highland Craft Guild" - 10/18/17. I chose this ornament for my inspiration: Small Carolina Snowflake Ornament, which looked more like a poinsettia to me than a snowflake!
14) CC664 - Color Challenge/ "Whisper in the Cherry Cobbler Garden" - 7/18/17. Colors: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, & Garden Green...the perfect colors as in my poinsettia card!
Aww! Your inspiration takes me back! I was so thrilled to be able to use a site that I had actually shopped in! Your card is stunning! I love the clean lines and the pretty drop embellishments!
