Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to make a card to honor the Last Rose of Summer (the dessert option). She asked us to use Rococo Rose, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.
I decided to try out my new stencil set, so opted for Distress Oxide inks, which blend so beautifully on Bristol paper. I'm thinking maybe a teensy serving of low-cal dessert if I am allowed to call these flowers roses! I cut the skinny frame and the greeting from gold foil paper. I backed the greeting with a layer of vellum, which I cut on my Scan 'n Cut machine.
This card is also for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges. Lori has a fun challenge for us! If you're a fan club member, please be sure to check it out and play along!
The Dare to Get Dirty challenges run August 22 through August 28th, with 5 or more challenges each day. So many Dirty Girls providing inspiration for an amazing week!

Oh, I love the soft look of your background created by stenciling. The frame and die cut sentiment provide just the right weight of gold to finish this off.

Beautiful stencilied background, lovely color choice for this week's color challenge. You definitely take the elegance up a notch with the gold frame and sentiment. Lovely!
