As soon as I saw Lydia's DTGD challenge, I knew it was time to pull out this NBUS set from Penny Black. Truthfully, I couldn't tell if the critters were supposed to be penguins or chicks, but I was seeing penguins today so that is the direction I chose to go.
Stamped/colored and die cut my focal image. Pulled out a scrap of dotted DSP and used post it tape to temporarily attach to a panel of Bazzill diamond bling cardstock. This allowed me to die cut my aperture and have the stitching match up perfectly across both the paper and the card stock without risking getting glue in my die. Once die cut, I permanently attached the DSP to the Bazzill. I die cut a 2nd spacer layer from some thin card stock to add dimension. I then inlaid my focal panel, making it appear slightly recessed.
To finish things off, I ran some glitter pen over the penguin's hat trim and belly and added some white dots on his rosy cheek.
Yay, another holiday card for the stash.
TFL.
