Inky friends are the best! Borrowed this beautiful die from an inky friend to try my hand at some die cut only Christmas cards.
In order to make it easier to work with this intricate die, I first used Stick-It to adhere a panel of gold paper to a panel of Gina K gold card stock. Die cut my sentiment.
Next, I headed to my scrap stash and pulled out some red and green glitter card stock scraps from MFT. I die cut the Jolly from both colors and also the leaves and berries from their respective colors. Finally, I cut a few little extra pieces to inlay for balance.
I attached the sentiment to a panel of black Bazzill cardstock before inlaying my pieces. I then assembled my card using a 2nd black layer as well as 2 red layers for added dimension.
I love how it turned out. Even better, I have pieces left over to make a 2nd card when my Stick-It order arrives tomorrow. Can't beat that.
TFL.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the die-cut and how you filled in the open areas. The red & green sparkle is fabulous. Reminds me of stained glass. Very nicely done! Thanks for sharing and creating.
