Pat is our hostess for Teapot Tuesday this week, and she is asking us to Dig Deep into our supplies as we make our cards (with the option of sending them to Beth - find the challenge HERE.
Since I still had my crimper out for C in CHEER last week, I reckoned I'd use an old tool, and an old tutorial (Crimped Envelope. And the wheel stamp I used on the top is also old - I'll check the name after work. I stamped the main part of the envelope with a fern and some Gorgeous Grunge for texture, and sponged round the edges. I originally had selected a different piece for the insert, but it didn't go with the envelope at all, whereas I reckoned this long-ago coloured seed pack would work better. It looks more like Couleur d'Art than Polychromos, but I'm guessing. I added butterflies to both the insert and the front, and matted the inside onto some blue card so that I can write on the back.

I love your crimped envelope, I don't got a tool like that but use a scoring board when i want to have a similar look, I love the insert too, pretty butterflies, great stamping on the envelope, just a question can you send this like it is, or do you need to put another envelope over this one?

I love crimping! Definitely a tool that should be brought back, but I think embossing folders have taken its place. I also love that you used a wheel, I have so many. I should dig them out! Love this card and beautiful envelope!

This card screams happy thoughts. It is so very pretty! I love the crimping. My crimping always ended up off kilter so I finally got rid of the crimper. Nice job!

Such a lovely creation! I haven't used my crimper in ages...I know it's around here somewhere! You've inspired me to find it! Love the seed packet card, too, the coloring is beautiful! And those butterflies are gorgeous!
