My dear friend Karen (Art Deco Diva) sent me this pincushion image ages ago. I've hoarded it till now, when I needed to make a birthday card for another dear friend. Helen was the owner of the one-and-only LSS we had in town, back in the day, and taught card-making classes. There was a regular group of us newbie stampers that met once a month at the store, and we had so much fun! I learned a LOT from Helen (we all did), and was so sad when she decided to retire and sell the store four years ago. I always hope my cards are up to her standards, and I hope she'll enjoy this one!
I stamped the thimble & buttons onto Very Vanilla CS with Creamy Caramel & More Mustard ("stamping off" to get lighter images) for the background. Stamped the ruler onto a scrap of DSP with the Rhubarb Stalk. Added the doily edge-punched border & crochet trim & the bitty buttons.
Fussy-cut (gasp!) the pincushion out, printed the sentiment on Very Vanilla, cut a banner & attached it to the pincushion with the bitty safety pin, before popping it all up on the card with dimensional tape.
TFL!
