Who here remembers pouring over the McCall, Simplicity & Butterick pattern catalogs somewhere in the 1960's hoping your Mom would make you that perfect outfit until you were old enough to sew yourself? I remember in the 90's taking my kids to the pattern department and letting them chose out their Halloween costumes that Mom was going to make!! Ah, the good ole' days! Thanks SU for the trip down memory lane.

I remember doing that!!! I was born in 1969...my mom is REALLY into crafts of all sorts and she used to do a lot of sewing. We used to go into JoAnn Fabrics and my sister and I would sit at the tables looking at all the patters and books while my mom shopped! Now a days, you couldn't leave your wee little ones unattended in a store like that..........those were the days.
Your card is fabulous by the way!! Thanks for sharing and for the memories.

Great card! Yes, I have memories from the '60s but I must say, it was me who was pouring over the pattern books trying to figure out what I was going to make next! Those were the days when I sewed way more than I do today!!! Thanks for the memories and I would say this is Simplicity!(Maybe because I loved Simplicity patterns!)

My Mom always hand made our halloween costumes from patterns. She was really talented with the sewing machine and had an old Singer with a foot peddle that actually rocked back and forth. But, alas, her talent in sewing was not passed on to me. ;-)
This card is FANTABULOUS! and one of my favorites that I've seen from the summer mini samples. TFS!!!!
