Engineering the design
by Repeating the rose motif
Cheers Everyone! Well I have a stack of backgrounds that I have created this year and I am determined to use them. I selected two that were ink blended with the same colors. I stamped, embossed and die cut the roses from one panel and die cut the frame on the second panel. On that panel I arranged the roses; letters and nuvo drops then adhered to a solid purple card base. Fine!
This week's Teapot recipient is an organization, Send a Smile Today, that distributes cards to cancer patients across the U.S. We were challenged to use the letters from CHEER to create our cards. In case my intro doesn't get me cookies, here are my letters:
C: Cut out flowers and letter with dies
H: Hugs; Heat Embossed
E: Eggplant Embossing Powder
R: Roses
Hope you too have a cheery day and that you have some time to get your hands a bit inky. TFL.
NOTE: I had the letters in the first paragraph all lined up to spell CHEER vertically but the program won't honor my spacing. I hope you can see it though. Ah Well.

Love this...I'm a fan of purple. Heat embossing is gorgeous, card design, die cut panel and inked BG are beautiful! Love how you did the headline and the purple drops, too!

I think you get an extra plate of cookies (if you want them ;-)) for your creative intro. Even without the correct spacing, the intent was obvious. I really like the effect of using a similar piece to the background for embossing and cutting the roses. It's very effective.

Wow, wow, wow. This looks fabulous Debbie, the softly blended colour palette is beautiful. Can't wait to see what you have done with all your backgrounds. I love your writeup too.
