I don't kinow why I had never tried this technique before - it was loads of fun. I covered a piece of cardstock with Recollections double sided adhesive sheet - this stuff is super sticky so no room for error when laying on the strips of DP - They were permanently bonded once they hit the adhesive. I thought I had done a really good job of butting the strips against each other but when I picked up my completed piece I could see miniscule bits of adhesive catching the light - I wasn't sure if this would become a problem so I rubbed Ultra Fine gold glitter over the entire piece and now it looks like there is a fine gold thread running between each strip - amazing IRL and I think the camera even picked up a few of them if you look closely. Stamped my Greeting on white stock and fussy cut then framed with orange and fussy cut again - popped it up with mounting foam .

Love this quilt pattern and a wonderful way to use up scraps.
