I had to go with "old school" stamping techniques this morning to utilize 3 ancient wood mounted stamps. Stamped my Cat onto the card base and again on a post-it note (fussy cut) and masked my first image. Now to my tree - the stamp is just the limb and about 3 inches of trunk. Used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the upper portion - then moving down the card front continued stamping bits of the trunk lining them up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig until I had a tall skinny tree running all the way down the length of the card. Sponged in my cloudy sky with chalk and a cotton ball and colored my images with prismacolor pencils. Finished with Crystal Snow on the tree limb - and got a bit of purple just for Tara on the dangling sign.

The tree and snow look so real! Great and patient job of using the thing-a ma-jigger to elongate the tree.

Wow, you're a Stamp-a-ma-jig maven. All that stamping and masking and moving things around turned out great. That tree looks fantastic. Love the harried kitten -- perfect for this situation. And your write-up on the forum page "Tara's fall was a CAT-astrphy". Love your humor as well. Sure to make Tana smile, if not laugh out loud.

Everything about this makes me smile.

You are one smart cookie, friend. Your darling scene is so 3-D and I love the sense of scale in your design. It's so cool to read about your process and nod along with the understanding of the old school ways of wood.
