It's my week to be your hostess in the Color Challenge. I have picked one of my all-time favorite combos for your creative pleasure this week: Whisper White, Real Red and Crumb Cake (I added a neutral similar to Mossy Meadow to my card for the stem and leaves). The dessert option is to have at least three layers on your card.
Something old, something new: This poppy stamp is from 2008, and one of my all-time favorites. The Ornate Layers die is probably my favorite item from the new SU catalog.
I stamped the poppy in Rich Cocoa ink, then colored with Copic markers and added details with Polychromos colored pencils, and added some dots of black glaze pen for the poppy's center. Popped up the lacy layer with foam tape. The background is white embossed with my favorite script stamp. So: A week of favorites for me, and I hope for you, too.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us!

this is a beauty Barbara- love the pretty poppy image and the framing with the die really makes it stand out- your background embossed script is a perfect fit.

Barbara... I love, love, love this color combo! Someone ask me what my favorite color of cardstock was from SU's... I replied, "it's kind of different but Crumb Cake"! Your card is beautiful and I too love the Ornate Frame dies. Simply beautiful! TFS

Barbara I can see why so many of the elements on your card are your favorites! It is gorgeous! I love the lacy rectangle against the script background.
