What fun I had making this. I also got very very inky fingers. This panel is for the Teapot Tickle challenge. Here is my take on water.
I've lost my mojo recently so I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos to find it again. Gabrielle Pollacco helps. I watched a few of her videos and took inspiration to make this. I can't take credit for the design as a lot of it is what she did on one of her videos and hers was AMAZING but I'm happy with how mine turned out. It sparkles and shines.
I started with gesso, used 2 stencils and put texture paste through creating a cool BG. Well I think it's cool lol. I used Lindy's Magicals for the colours, then built up the layers adding spray inks and anything else I had. I rubbed TH vintage photo over the end result (Susies tip).
I have lots of chipboards and love using them. The first thing my DH said today when looking at my panel was wow that's good but that's not seagrass. Ok, I took creative licence and what does a girl do when she doesn't have a big piece of seagrass. She has a fern frond that grows in her ocean. Just imagine it's seagrass...after all my title is imagine lol.
Moving on....sequins, micro beads added..those little beads get everywhere but give great texture. Chipboards painted and added.
The mermaid was sent to me a couple of years ago by Sis Vicki (Hawaiian) and I added more gold paint and liquid pearls to her and fussy cut her out. She's keeping an eye on that anchor lol. I put cheesecloth under the net chipboards and sprayed more inks on top.
Bling and liquid pearls added. Hairspray added..I learnt this tip off Gabrielle lol. Done. Oh I had fun, fun, fun.
I want to make another one one lol
TFL
Happy day and keep safe and well wherever you are.

If this incredible creation were to float into my letterbox, I would have it framed and hanging up in a heartbeat. Jayne this is absolutely fabulous and being the proud owner of an Ozpom Original, I know that this will look even more special in real life. Genius seagrass my west coast Aussie mate and I love your writeup!

Jayne, it looks like you had fun and getting a little messy is certainly worth it when the results are as sensational as these! Beautiful scene depicting all the adventures and treasures the sea has to offer!!

That background is incredible, Jayne. It reminds me of a little ATC I have on my shelf, all that texture and richness and sparkle. Love the cheesecloth in it. Your assorted seaweeds are wonderful (actually, we're just watching an old Jacques Cousteau series we picked up at the library, and the first episode was Western Australia, and the fields of seagrass). The anchor is brilliant, and I love the few dots of pink for colour contrast.

Wow, wow, wow, Jane. This textural masterpiece. Really looks like it is underwater and the mermaid is perfect. Hair Spray? How cool is that. I shall be adding some hair spray to something I make today! Fun, fun, fun, and very pretty. Amazing work my friend. I can just imagine your fingers - how fun. Hugz
