Finally getting a card posted this week just before the new CC posts for tomorrow. I have know all week that I was going to make this card with the CC01 colors - so vivid and perfect for a country/western (F4A543) big sky (CAS595) look! My sky didn't come out exactly as I wanted, but after a few tries I went with it. I was trying for the DO brayed look, but I don't have a small brayer so used the waterfront stamps to create the sky. Stamped the butte scene, then worked on the sky using DO ink. Sponged in the yellow and then masked the sky to sponge the cherry cobbler - the only actual color I had. Used pierced dies for panel and shadow and mounted on chevron embossed CS. Added some twill tape. Double cut the wild horse and mounted with foam tape. This scene is close to my heart as it reminds me of my local landscape complete with wild horses. Lucky to live in such an amazing place. TFL

You did a beautiful job of a cherished memory.Monument valley is a beautiful place. I was there when I took an across country trip and visited all the states west of the Mississippi river. It's amazing how the rocks just jut up out of the ground then totally flat
