I'll always click '5' for difficulty when it comes to folds...yes, even with this simple one. I started it days ago, thought I had a handle on it, nope, I did not.
The hardest part for me was choosing stamps that would work. I had a different piece that would show through the hole, but I had put a few small sentiments on it, offset, and when open, they didn't show. So for me, I had to really think about what I chose. I had to redo the front piece because the paper wasn't as strong as it needed to be and it bowed. Then I found that the little strips on the back for the slider weren't quite long enough for the slider to go through, even though I was very careful to use as little glue as possible. So I redid those several times. I'm not whining, I'm just trying to show my pitfalls so others will avoid them.
The last pitfall is when I wanted to take pictures, the slider part wouldn't stay closed, so that's why there is only an open picture. Not sure why this is happening! The stamping for the closed part in the middle looks good, although I'm not as happy with it open. Alright, I'm done with myself, I actually think it looks pretty good and I learned a lot about it as I went. Thanks, Anita, you always challenge me and that's good.
PS The stenciled background is either from Carla or Sue in AU. Their tickles arrived the same day and I think I mixed up the backgrounds a bit. I'm a disaster.

Where were you when I needed help? I suffered some of the same pitfalls as you did. In the end you succeeded beautifully, so worth the effort! Luv the circle swirl die cut.

I love this, Jean. The Keats quote was one of my mother's favourites. The front is lovely with that detailed circle frame and the geometric motifs. First time with a new fold is always the steepest part of the learning curve (for me), unless I leave it so long to try again that it's just like starting all over again.
