I created this for my brother's upcoming birthday, following a tutorial at the Beccy's Place blog. You can see a detail shot of my card/box at this post.
I used textured yellow cardstock for the card base & box case, & decorated with patterned papers from "Celebration." To create the drawer itself, I used a heavyweight white cardstock. After I created the drawer, as per the tutorial instructions, I decorated it with patterned paper strips from "Celebration." I tied purple & white baker's twine through a yellow button for my "drawer pull," popped a thick foam dot on the back of the button, and used liquid glue to adhere it to my drawer box. (The liquid glue just helped me slide the button into place, so I didn't have to worry about getting it spot on the first time.)
For the greeting panel, I used a stamp from "Birthday Bash," & stamped it in Bahama Blue ink onto white cardstock. I die cut that with a "Scalloped Labels One" die, and inked the edges with Scattered Straw to help it stand out more from the background paper.
I fussy cut the "celebrate" from one of the patterned papers to use as my prop piece. Since it is very thin paper, I glued it to a piece of heavyweight white cardstock to give it more "heft," & fussy cut again. If I had been thinking, I would have roughly cut it out, glued it to the cardstock, and THEN done my fussy cutting. At least it wasn't difficult to cut! Finally, I popped that on the card base/box top with foam tape.

I really love that confetti patterned paper with all of the various colors really makes a great splash on the front of this birthday card complete with its own drawer, how COOL!!! Loving the purple details on the drawer as well as the button pull.
Whoever is blessed to receive this card will feel very special indeed!!!
