This is actually an easel card & drawer/gift box in one. This is the close-up of the front/top. You can see a photo of the whole thing at this post. I created this to hold a St. Christopher auto visor clip I'm giving my brother for his upcoming birthday.
I followed a tutorial at the Beccy's Place blog. I used textured yellow cardstock for the card base & box case, & decorated with patterned papers from "Celebration." For the greeting panel, I used a stamp from "Birthday Bash," & stamped it in Bahama Blue ink onto white cardstock. I die cut that with a "Scalloped Labels One" die, and inked the edges with Scattered Straw to help it stand out more from the background paper.
I fussy cut the "celebrate" from one of the patterned papers to use as my prop piece. Since it is very thin paper, I glued it to a piece of heavyweight white cardstock to give it more "heft," & fussy cut again. If I had been thinking, I would have roughly cut it out, glued it to the cardstock, and THEN done my fussy cutting. At least it wasn't difficult to cut! Finally, I popped that on the card base/box top with foam tape.
