Don't you just love it when you get to make a card from products you haven't used in like forever? That's the case with this card. I had seen an ad for a card on Wish that had this cute cluster of dotted envelopes and a happy birthday sentiment. This got my creative juices flowing as I knew that I had this cute little envelope die from Ellen Hutson in my stash. The question was, did I have any sentiment stamps small enough for the "paper" inside the envelope. It turns out that I did, in the form of a really old MFT birthday greetings set.
The card itself was pretty easy to put together and is in keeping with my (pretty much) CAS style - not purely CAS, but close enough for me .
I used a spacer panel below my colored background to give me some dimension. I inlaid the square where my envelope is showcased and added a double layer thin frame, which I made using the MFT In & Out Stitched Square dienamics.
Inside sentiment (from the same MFT set): A little birthday wish for a great friend. (So perfect for my little envelope greeting)
I liked the results so much that I have 2 more laying on my stamp table to create - one using yellow dotted paper/background and one using a small diagonal spring green check. These will work well as birthday cards for some of our church shut-ins.
TFL.
