This is my interpretation of a Zen Garden for Annie. I found a Happy Buddah digi and after printing colored him all over with Bronze twinkling H2O's so he has a bit of sparkle & shine IRL. I used a combination of chalks & prismacolor pencils to draw in my garden - a meditation pool, rocks & stones and grassy knolls. (Illusionary at best since I have NO training as an artist, sketcher or drawing of any kind). I did stamp the tiny pink flowers, bamboo and fern leaves to frame my scene. It was quite difficult to get a halfway decent picture - the camera wanted to highlight each and every pencil stroke instead of reading the more blended look this has IRL.
I computer generated the birthday wishes in Dutch for the inside.

Did you know there is a very large Buddhist presence in Europe? Not sure about the Netherlands but probably. I think your drawing/sketching is great, awesome that you were brave.

I love this peaceful, calming scene that you've created so artistically! Love the reflection of Buddha in the pool.

A beautiful and peaceful scene. I bet the twinkling H2Os look fabulous on that buddha and give it just the right sheen. I love the addition of the pink flower and bamboo stamping around your beautiful garden. What a wonderful birthday gift for Annie.
