This is my combined card for Pollyâs MIX challenge from last Friday, using found object(s) and Jacquelineâs MMTPT challenge, to use something representative of nylon. Short of time these days, so I doubled up.
The base layer is a gel print with leaves, which I chose because I had used copper paint on the other piece, and there was some in this. I stamped it all round the edges with the branch from An Open Heart in Versafine Clair Rain Forest.
The other piece was some photo paper that I had wiped my baby wipes down after stamping with them for the TLC last week. The paper got a bit sticky so it took a couple of days to dry. To add some interest, I went back to Karenâs rubber band stamping TLC as the bands were still around my block (and I reckoned that although they were used in the process, not on the finished card, they were found objects). I brayered some copper acrylic paint onto a scrap of paper and used that to stamp over the background. The sentiment is from Swirls and Curls.
The dress form is Unityâs Chic Fabulous. I stamped it on the background, on a cereal box, on some white card, and my main found object, Verveâs lovely tissue paper that Julee used to use for wrapping orders. I stamped it twice on the tissue, so itâs layered (and what looks like white dots in the photo are little silver sprinkles). For my nod to nylon, I unearthed some tulle that I used on the cake decorations for my brotherâs wedding cake, dyed it purple with some alcohol ink and created a little shawl from it. The base was just the same alcohol ink that I used to dye the tulle dabbed on.

Beautiful mix of found items and your creativity! I love copper....always a good thing to add in any design....that purple dyed tulle is very artsy and works well for a nod to nylon. I spotted the rubber band stamping.....great for a bg. Very pretty....Annie will love it!

Wow, what a fabulous card! That dress form stamp is so chic; and what a great idea to dye the tulle with alcohol ink!

I loved reading your process i did a lot of scrolling back for another look and a lot of nodding. Wow Sabrina this is jaw dropping fabulous! I love all the techniques, texture and beautiful design. Dying the tulle is the icing on the cake. I could sit and look at this all day.

This is filled with fun and the Tulle shawl is so perfect especially since the little dots in the skirt look like they could also be a tulle overlay.. Good job on your rubber band stamping - I have never tried them around a block as when I learned the technique so many years ago, we were taught to wrap them around our brayer.

Another WOW card, Sabrina and I can't say which element I love best because I love them all. The gelli print is awesome; I love the purple at the bottom of the cardbase; the dyed tulle was so creative and the dress is fun and elegant at the same time. Fabulous card,
