A lot makes me happy. Art wise, I like to make backgrounds, use said backgrounds, and do the unexpected. This is unexpected.
I have been growing orchids for a few years. Most of them bloom in early spring and for some odd reason, when the flowers begin to fall, I don't throw them away, I just throw them in the larger pot that two of the orchids are in. I've been doing that for about four years. This spring, in a cleaning frenzy, I was going to throw those dried up orchids away but then I thought 'what could I do with them?'
I glued them onto a piece of cardstock, which was very fiddly. They're crumbly! I had white orchids and some purple/pink ones. After getting them glued on, I sprayed them with two Lindy's sprays, both in the pink range. Then I set it aside, not sure what I would do with it until today. I added some twine and another mixed media tag stamped with the sentiment (not sure what's on the tag). I also added a few gold sequins and more flowers, as my orchids are dropping. You can tell which ones they are, they still look a bit fresh. This is pretty fragile so a hand delivery for certain, if it even makes it that long.

I have been working with dried flowers lately, too. Amazing discoveries to be had in the flower pile! Your organic save is so very beautiful and lucky is the person who you will hand it to. Bet they frame it.
