I picked up this pkg of DSP in a thrift store a few years ago. When I was trying to find papers for this Challenge I happened across it and found it to be a veritable gold mine with everything I needed in it. I really felt like I was cheating, it was so easy, lol. The layout is from The Artsy Fartsy Gallery, their Template Tuesday design. After picking the papers I wanted to use I cut them to the sizes I needed them to be. I adhered them to a Basic Black layer then onto a Crumb Cake card base. I backed the horizontal strip with Black CS and added it to my card front to cover the area where the other pieces joined up. The sun and booklet were fussy cut, the sentiment was punched with the Note Tag punch and the banner was trimmed to the right width, and one end was inserted into the Banner punch from the top and punched. These were all backed with Black CS and fussy cut out. The sentiment, the banner and the sun were popped on with dimensionals, tucking one sun ray under the sentiment. The little booklet was tucked under the sentiment and glued directly onto the card front. I added some green rhinestones and a little baker's twine bow to add some bling.

Eunice I love the fun feel to your card today, with the child-like handdrawn outline of the sun and the cars packed full of families and their possessions going on vacation! And who hasn't had journies filled with 'are we there yet?', usually 10 minutes after leaving home! Just perfect! Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It this week!

Eunice, this is a beauty! You're so right - the papers are perfect and matted onto black, they just pop. This card really brings back memories of family holidays with the children when they were young, especially that refrain - are we there yet! Thanks for rising to the challenge and joining us again at As You See It.

You're right, Eunice, these are the perfect papers for our vacation challenge! Do they ever bring back the memories! The vacation theme from a child's point of view! Thanks for sharing that particular viewpoint with a fun take on our challenge!
I really like this card, Eunice. The layout and colour choices are awesome and it feels so fun and playful. Makes me want to take my kids on a camping road trip!
