Happy birthday to Anita's Mother Annie! I remember when my Mom had her 80th; we went out for a very nice dinner. I feel so badly that you can't be with her. Hard enough to not live in the same country.
This was a lot of fun to create. I rummaged through my hose, why I keep them, I have no clue. I haven't worn hose since my son's wedding almost 6 years ago. But now I do have a clue why I keep them! I chose a pair of light grayish, cut out a piece and wrapped it around two glued together ovals (for stability), gluing down with gel medium. I purposely created some wrinkles. Layered that on top of a metallic light blue oval. Then, I'm thinking, what should I do on top?? I always have a beginning point, but hardly ever an end point. I opened my drawer of wood stamps and lo and behold, there is this lovely stamp of daintily crossed ankles. Stamped it on fog paper, added some WOS clear to the legs and some gems, especially on those little bows and cut with the smaller oval. I used some lovely blue ep around the edge to disguise that there is a rectangular border around the legs. All that was left was to dry emboss the white card base and add more of the blue ep. I will put a sentiment inside, large enough for her to read. I may also put a vintage ephemera piece there too, I think she would like that.

Well, goodness Jean, how creative to use your own nylons on this card. How fun is that! This is such a great stamp that you had. Love the gems and love your camouflaging the lines with the ep. and using it on the ef. too.

That image with the seamed stockings and bow is brilliant! Great use of your seldom worn nylons... I like that you kept some wrinkles;) Fantastic card for Annie.

What a perfect stamp you had! I didnt even notice the nylon around the panel until I went back and looked after reading your description. That is an awesome way to cover the ovals. Very cool!

Perfect image for this challenge and your layout really highlights that great stamp. Love how you used the ep to move from rectangle to oval (I need to remember that trick) and really creative use of your old, virtually worthless nylons. Love this card.
