CT = Lots of Sunshine for the weather theme
When my girls were little, I would greet them each morning with the little poem I've used today. Two weeks ago when my daughter came to visist, without thinking, I recited it again when she wandered into the kitchen in the morning. She teared up and said . . . "That greeting always started my day with sunshine, no matter what the weather outside and I LOVE that you would still call me your merry Sunshine when I'm in my 40's."
The card itself was pretty easy and straight forward. Printed a digi of a young mother & daughter, colored with prismacolor pencils and fussy cut. Sponged on the sunrays using the TH Rays stencil and Lemon Yellow ink. Computer generated the poem and framed with a strip of DP. I used my ancient Stamp-a-ma-jig to turn an old 3 line wood block sentiment into an elongated 1 line sentiment. I finished with a scattering of tiny gold star sequins on the 'horizon'.

I'm tearing up, too, Linda. I will relay this sweet story to my Step-daughter and perhaps she will want to adopt a similar ritual with my 20 month old granddaughter. Such a sweet and meaningful card.
