Hello and TFL! This card was made for my friend who owns a place in Mexico and is home sick with COVID and dreams of getting back to the beach someday... The idea followed the Mixed Media Video Addicts June/July project. THANKS to Jayne (Ozpom) who picked the Videos for this month and Nancy (nwilliams6) who let me know about it. Others (Sharon, Gracie, Jan) have now joined in our monthly challenge. It can be a card, tag, journal page, anything. I hope you want to play along : )
I used a full 8 1/2 x 11 piece of thick whisper white and folded twice at approx 3 5/8" (*you can see there is a tiny strip that doesn't meet). I folded back the top corner. Stamped the middle section with full black ink stamp and then the front panel with the lighter remainder of black ink (looks gray).
Tore the Typeset paper (which is super thin like newspaper) at an angle, set it on my Brick Wall emb folder and just used my fingers to run along the ridges and crease. Sponged BBSugar ink and then took S U black marker and ran it across the ridges made by emb folder. Stamped the Tiny Tags super tiny Flower stamp at top of the wall and added sanded paper scrap as a 'terracotta planter' idea.
I wanted Mexican tile type floor in the 'hacienda' and so I cut apart the petals from 2 chalkboard flowers and then doodled with a white chalk marker some fun patterns. popped those up on dimesionals so they were same height as Camille doll.
Glued front panel to middle panel so it doesn't open there, cut off just the top of the brad and glued to edge. added a strip of Photoplay Outdoor Wedding paper to the inside (left). it is a neutral page with branches holding lights, lanterns, flowers in jars. very pretty romantic pattern.
on Camille, fussy cut, layered paper(s), swiped Parchment paint, with my finger, to the skirt to break up the words. glued the flowers and set her up on dimensional foam.
Hope you enjoy my 'hacienda' scene. Take good care, stay well. Teresa
