This is my first project for the Mixed Media Video Addicts Challenge started by Jayne (Ozpom) and myself. We have added a few more addicts too: Gracie, Sharon, Jan, and Teresa. You are welcome to join in as well - just watch the videos, create something they inspire you to make and load it with MMJ02.
Here are the videos picked by Jayne for this month:
I am super excited about next month's videos so make sure you let Jayne know if you want to play.
This is Psalms 119 verse 105 - did you know this is the longest Psalm? This is my favorite verse in it too:
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Beautiful! The page was going to be lamp or light based and on the way to the craft room....different stamps jumped out at me and then it became about direction and then traveling down the river.....crazy how that all happens.
This is the path: torn kraft paper, Crusing down the river song page from an old song book (flea market find in Mobile, AL), add tea bag (for Teresa and Jayne), gesso layer, stamp and tear images, add some white sails to the boat then tuck in ephemera, gesso again, and stamp leaf. Stopped at the leaf - didn't fit the theme really and I was afraid I would mess it up if I added any more.
Too flat for me - I like my mixed media chunky - but can't add too many more chunky pages to my journaling bible or it won't close - lol. I did a chunky piece after this which I will be loading in a minute.
So fun. Can't wait to see what everyone else made.

Nancy this is so perfect for your bible journalling. I love how your process took you. I was the same...I couldn’t think and then it sort of jumped out at me. Your music sheet and boat and your little paper doll and postcard are perfect for your theme. It is such a cool page and I’m so glad that you played again this month....I’m having such fun and glad you decided that we keep this going. Hope more join in...I am loving learning and extending myself.
TFS. Happy day and hugs

As always I am so amazed by your wonderful bible journal creations Nancy. I love everything about this and enjoyed your write-up too, I feel like I'm sitting right beside you...well not right beside you, we will be 6' apart. I digress, your fun challenge sounds great.
Please don't take your organs to heaven - heaven knows we need them here.
