I will admit it: this was a big challenge for me. I imagine everyone else will do much better because I can't seem to follow the rules the first time I attempt, which would be the logical thing to do. This one was my first attempt and it was a fail. But it was a fail that I didn't want to throw away. Here's the story:
I used a very detailed ef. That was probably my first mistake. It took a long time to color. Then I thought I'd be fancy and instead of using the white or buff acrylic, I used a light gold/pearl metallic. Not a good idea. After the paint dries, you're supposed to use a sanding block or sand paper to rub off the paint from the colored parts and this paint would barely budge. As you can see, on the right hand side, the paint didn't come off at all. But I thought it still had some merit; it was very soft and glowed in the light. I kept everything else simple with the diecuts and embellishments. I hope you will all try this, I'm excited to see what you do.

Jean, I don't think it's a fail, I think it's looking perfect!!, when you look at our cards you'll see they look about the same as yours, color doesn't show up everywhere, and you've embellished this card so well, I love it!!

Well, I think this is pretty, NOT a fail! I love the ef and the die cuts, but what I think really sets this off is the torn edge vellum. I'm not sure I've ever torn my vellum!!
Thanks for getting us to do something different.
