I've been thinking it's about time I get back in the saddle again and get back to popping out some cards. It's been a long two years. And I've been missing it terribly. I've finally been able to get better control over the neuropathy in my hands that doesn't seem to be giving up it's grip on me, and am not dropping things ALL the time because I can't feel them...like little glue-y thingies that always drop onto a card in the wrong place. I've found that if I use a tweezers with an L-shaped end on it to pick up pieces of paper, embellishments, etc. I have a better chance of getting them where I want them because I have to squeeze the tweezers kind of semi-tight just to hold the piece at all. Otherwise, I guess I can't gauge how tight I should hold things. Don't know why the tweezers makes a difference. I seem to have gotten more control over my muscles, but not so much the feelings in my hands. Anyway, maybe that might help someone else who might be going through that annoyance themselves.
Always having been a Paper Addict I haven't been able to control my eyes from checking out some of the Gorgeous new papers on the market during that time. This background paper is from the Brutus Monroe 6" x 6" paper pad Collection called Neon Glow. Yup! It just grabbed me at first sight. Over the months it flirted with me for months as I strolled through my favorite suppliers online. Time to bring it home, to cut it up, with love, and give it a life.
This PB Fern and the Dragonfly remind me of the calm Peace in nature. Although I'm very aware that nature is not always peaceful. But I've always loved to sit out among nature and "absorb" it....watching a bird taking a bath in a convenient puddle after a rain, seeing how a butterfly makes a perfect landing on a delicate flower...and doesn't fall off, holding my breath as I watch a beautiful white squirrel jump from tree to tree bending the branches only slightly without him falling 30 ft. to the ground and breaking...Oh My!, seeing a large bumblebee crawl into a hole in the ground and hoping I remember where that hole is so I don't step on it barefooted at an inopportune moment. I think I was told certain bees live in those holes. This love of nature is something my mother has instilled in me probably even before birth. She was a nature absorber Extraordinaire. We shared a lot of good times absorbing.
Well, this has been fun running through some old memories. You all have a wonderful rest of the summer (or fall, or winter, as the case may be). Stay healthy! Thanks for listening to my ramblings.

This is great! I love the neon paper you used. I have hand problems also and have a pair of the tweezers you described. They work really well for me also. TFS and welcome back!

So happy you are back! Having been AWOL a lot over the past 4 years (multiple surgeries) I know how it feels when you have to ignore your creative desires. Sorry you are having problems, but happy you have found the tweezers to help. Luv your card - great paper and die cuts! Enjoyed your back story.

Welcome back, Ellen!!!! Ditto on what Susie said. So good to see your pretty card. Love the combo of that dramatic dp with the white die cuts. Glad you've been able to find a tool that helps.
