Finally uploading my card for this week's teaparty - Paper Hugs. Our teaparty this week is for Janet in Illinois who is in need of lots of paper hugs. I finished my card on Wednesday but have since been in a great deal of pain in my right wrist due to, I assume, RSI! I did paper piece, and do lots fussy cutting, but that is not unusual. Anyway, seems to have eased a little today, after lots icing and bandaging yesterday!
When I saw the challenge I knew I wanted to paper piece one of my elegant ladies and chose Belle for this card. As you can see, I have paper pieced her dress and hat using a piece of long retired SU dp. Coloured the rest of her, using copics. I adhered her, using dimensionals, to a glossy piece I had already prepared using the squirt and smoosh technique. Backed onto the baked brown sugar c/s after punching both edges. Stamped and die cut sentiment and added the tiny gold pearls.
TFL!

Wow Susie Q that is some serious fussy cutting - no wonder you are injured! Every inch of this looks fabulous. I can imagine Janet, as a card maker, will love looking at all the different techniques and details. Love the colour palette too. Thanks for bring this Belle to the teaparty and I hope you mending quickly.

This is delightful, Sue! That retired dp suits the dress so well! Love the sentiment. Wonderful background for her and you have a hat. You get all the cookies, lol. Hope your pain gets better soon.
