My Daughter & 2 grandsons left yesterday morning so it's time to stretch my abilities past their limits with another watercolor challenge . . .after watching the video, I really considered skipping this challenge altogether but in the end gave it my best shot.
I'm never sure if I've done the challenges correctly BUT my roses are blended with 2 shades of pink, yellow, orange & red. The leaves have 2 shades of olive, green tea and turtle green with some hits of burnt sienna. and the cup (even thought it's hard to detect) has 3 shades of gray. Once my piece dried completely, I did a torn edge around the image and sponged with soft stone. Since I had printed the digi larger than I thought, this ended up being an A7 size to accommodate the width instead of the A2 I had prepped for. That left me with a strange section of white space so I stenciled the Waverly doily with texture paste then adhered my watercolor piece over that and added the SU sentiment.

You had to be very pleased when finishing this project. I'm amazed with your blending skills. You did the challenge correctly, and very well. Like how you tore and blended the grays on the edges. Just another version of blending. The roses are beautiful with the colors you chose to blend. I like the larger size, and it is easier to work with. So glad you found the time to do the challenge. Happy 4th of July.

Good work, Linda, and I'm so glad you are playing along with us. Beautiful card and I think the doily is just great with that image.
