My son, Tim, and my son-in-law, Gabriel, have birthdays two days apart in July. Ten years ago I had just started making cards. I found this Mo's image and since they were both into gaming I made them birthday cards using it. I was running out of ideas for male cards so I started looking through my photos of completed cards to get some ideas when I ran across the two cards from 2010. I decided it would be very cool to make them both a card using the same image again. And yes, they are both still into gaming. The only real difference in the cards is inside.
One says son and the other, son-in-law.

That focal image has SO much detail, and you have colored it with copics (a medium I really struggle with), your coloring is absolutely WONDERFUL, with such attention to detail and it's so realistic! Your background adds depth too with your subtle shading. I love the layers, especially that patterned paper and the color as well as the pattern each add a whole lot to the whole artwork that you have made for your son and your son-in-law. I think that each will be very touched that you created a card that really suits each so much. Masculine cards I struggle with and I have 2 to make for my nephew in the next few days--an 18th birthday and a H S grad, and he's like a son to me, so they need to be special.
Thank you for teaching me details regarding coloring, I am keen to learn more and I need to spend more time coloring--lately, my card projects have been different and I want to spend time in coloring once I finish a major reorganizing of my stamps/dies and my crafts and little room in general, can't wait to finish it!!! It needs to be low-budget so I will need to think outside the box for some storage furniture...
These are wonderful CAS cards! Favorited.
Blessings and best wishes, these cards will be treasured!
