| | I made this card for this week's Teapot Challenge. This is the last Tuesday of the month so we send cards to each other- fun! Shelly is our hostess this week and she has asked us to go "Eastward Bound" for a traditional Tea House Tea.
Initially, I was stumped how I was going to do this challenge, but then I remembered I have these teapot dies. Recently, I borrow the StampinUp First Frost stamp set from a friend. As much as I love this stamp set, I could not make a card with it for anything. However, I had a few epic fails that worked for die cutting these teapot dies from.
Once the stamping and die cutting was done, then it was just a matter of layering up the card. I decided to cut the designer paper into strips to mimic the look of Japanese Screens that remind me of tea houses. The sentiment die is layered up to give it a little more presence.
Thank you Shelly for this fabulous challenge and thank you for looking today! ~Karen. |
