I really wanted to opt out of this one. I have SUCH a hard time watercoloring and I didn't learn anything from that video, but I powered through and made myself a watercolored leaf that I think is good enough to fade into the background of this sympathy card. I do really like this Avery Elle frame for this tropical leaf. I will keep trying and hopefully get better!

Oh, I am so happy you ventured on into this challenge. Fun, wasn't it? That's what the challenge is all about, learning the many watercolor techniques. I think your leaf is very pretty and you did good work. So happy you are sticking with it.

I think you did a wonderful job Jen. If you had seen the garbage when I was trying to learn you would have had a good chuckle. It can be frustrating, but then something changes and it becomes so much more. Keep up the good work.

It is intimidating and I agree about the video. I think to be a good water colorist takes lots of practice and maybe some hands on instruction. I'm glad you stuck it out, it looks great.
