I found the left hand side card penguin while sorting through the heaps on my desk and while I didn't want to use it myself, I wanted to create my own version.
In velvet paper. Yes! The only thing better than a glittery penguin is a fuzzy one !
The body shape is two egg nesting dies, the arms are leaves from a flower die, the hat is the top of one of the egg dies and I cut the scarf down from...one of the egg dies. Just for a change.
I'm most happy with the feet and beak! I punched a scallop circle and cut out one of the scallops for the beak. I then used a small oval punch on the scallop circle waste and punched the feet.
I drew on the facial features and the spotty belly.
