Don't have scallops, but left the deckle edge of the watercolor paper.
Stamped and heat embossed the larkspur image...then proceeded to watercolor. A birthday card for a friend with a July birthday. Larkspurs are the July flower.

Sallie, I can get lost in your beautiful watercolored image, it looks SO beautiful, and purple is a much-favored color for me. I love that you have torn ONE side of your artwork, what a neat look, and matting it on that lilac-colored cardstock brings out more of the blue shade in these flowers. Any friend (anyone!) will be thrilled to receive this stunningly beautiful piece of art as a birthday celebration.
I always appreciate when I am able to learn from looking at wonderful art, and your art always teaches, always inspires, and definitely always delights the senses, Sally. Thank you!!!
I have much to learn especially in coloring and I want to try watercoloring when I have some time once I get my craft room in order, a giant project where I need to move out a piano and find some good and not expensive craft storage furniture, most of my storage in my smaller craft room is open shelving and the plastic drawers I bought a long time ago just aren't holding up... So, I need to find some more suitable pieces and I'm going to have to purge and cut back on what I have, which is never fun but definitely necessary in my case. I cannot wait when it's all done!
Favorited, I want to be able to look at this again especially when I try this watercolor resist technique for the first time.
Blessings to you, you are a wonderful artist, Sallie!

You've created a truly STUNNING card. I love the look of watercolor on cards and you've used the challenge colors so beautifully. I have July birthday coming up and believe it or not - I had no idea Larkspur is the July flower! Learned something today 😄.

I'm Always Amazed at the way you color flowers, Sallie! Gorgeous Larkspurs....I love the way your splatters look like tiny seeds spraying from the blooms~

Wow, this could hang in an art gallery to be viewed by all! Amazing creation. I agree with all the other comments above! Flowers exquisite...the torn edge and the fine spattering is the "frosting on a cake." You are an artist for sure.

Agree with other comments--this is beautiful. And to clarify, you used regular VM ink and white embossing powder--correct? I'm sure this took a long time to create this gem...
