Jen aka jennifrann is hosting this weeks Teaparty for Barbara - pen pal of our very own Sabrina. Jen has challenged us to be inspired by the Traced Doodling or Zentangling tutorials found here at SCS.
Barbara loves the colour pink, fairies and nature. This should have been so easy, I love pink, fairies and nature, but it has taken me 3 days to get this right.
My mojo has gone on holidays, my foam blending tools are menopausal and I can't get the lids off my Izinks.
I had trouble blending the background until I realised the foam pads had dried out. A good spritz of water fixed that. To make the colours a bit more intense I scribbled some gellato crayons over the distress ink and wiped it over the cardstock using a baby wipe.
I stamped the Unity image onto copy paper and coloured her with Prismacolour pencils, Zest it pencil blend and a colourless blending pencil.
She was fussy cut and adhered to the card. I stamped her wings and carefully attached them. Hmmm something was very wrong - she looked like an angel, not a fairy. So I quickly removed her wings and decided it was a fairy on her day off.
I did the 'traced doodling" on fairy using a charcoal grey metallic pen by Kaiser, I also added a garland of Stickles.
Thank you for looking. I hope you are safe and well.

Well Susie - your mojo and my mojo are both off on holidays together somewhere. It is taking me days to do anything too. I catch up just in time for the next challenge. This card is just so special - love all the pink and the mystical garden for your fairy/angel. Lovely blended background too. Stay safe Susie.

MOJO looks in full force, my friend. She is stunning with her skirt of many cool patterns and details and her fun background in fairyland. This card will be treasured because, it is a TREASURE. Wonderful and so wish I could watch you make one of these fabulous backgrounds. Also, once again, I am wondering why I have no paper doll images and foam tools. Many hugz

I forget the power of the baby wipes in creating...been using it more for cleaning supplies...This is like she's walking through a forest of fireflies with those hanging stickles....just amazing! I love her variegated skirt with all the patterns...beautiful. If I could find that for real online I'd order it for myself!

No one would ever know you struggled with the bg or any part of this . . . .Such a gorgeous blend of colors and the "glow" is amazing. The curtain of stickles garland adds a magical quality - a fairly simple addition but one that would NEVER occur to me - I would love to sit inside your mind to watch your creative process!!

I think when you started this card, your mojo was just around the corner and popped right back to you immediately. Fabulous creation, as always. I love the doodling and Stickle garland. Just so much fun to study your card and I just know the recipient is going to LOVE it.

I think our collective mojos are having a convention somewhere right now laughing at all of us. Myself and several crafty friends have made the same complaint lately. But, with or without mojo, your card is a beautiful creation. The bg you struggled with is ethereal and the garland, as has been noted, is magical, And I, too, adore that bright pink skirt with all the doodles and patterns. This is just stunning Susie. So glad to see you back in the Gallery.

I think I will just walk behind you and pick up whatever scraps of mojo fall off you b/c you apparently don't realize you have talent in your eyelashes! (smallest thing I can think of)
I suspect there is a holiday spa somewhere for mojos playing hooky.
I am so loving the sparkle dangles....fantastic with the rich deep color tones.

Oh what a fun card, Susie! And it is so interesting reading your descriptions of putting the card together! Always a pleasure reading it......There are days I am not sure about my mojo so you are not alone! But you always come through......love all the sparkle as well. TFS
