When I first read that the Water Colour Wednesday challenge was this week - I just about ran a mile - dodgy knees and arthritis would have been not have hindered me. I have always loved looking at other peoples work and never thought I could do it. Well there is a first time for everything.
I was very brave and got out the water colour paints, paper and the Antique Linen Distress Ink and sat and looked at it for a while. You would have thought that I could have chosen a smaller less detailed stamp. Closed my eyes and reached for the stamp and ink. I coloured the yellow rose first - and got a little braver and started on the orange one and started picking up steam. I was really enjoying this new technique. I need some more practice on the leaves though.
Well - here it is my first No Line Water Colour effort.
Learning so much from this new Wednesday Challenge.
Hope you enjoy.

Helen this is so beautiful, i never ever would have guessed this was your first time for no line watercolouring. I'm still trying to make something presentable for WCW002..and 3 and 4. Like you, I'm learning so much. You have inspired me to keep trying, I love this!

Beautiful card Helen! That image is so pretty and you've really caught the rosy colours of summer! Your no-line technique looks pretty wonderful to me! I have yet to try any of the WW challenges. A kitchen reno has meant that my craft space is now food prep. Still a few weeks away from getting it back.

Beautifully done, Helen. Those roses look soft and infinitely "touchable" - I shied away from flowers - especially roses as I couldn't navigate getting any definition on individual petals - you have done this so well and I am amazed at all the definition in those centers.
