This card ended up being for three challenges.
Watercolor Wednesday challenge - No line watercoloring of and image hosted by Brenda / Benzi who included two links to tutorials and video's of ow this can be done.
The Sketch challenge, I had seen some lovely cards in the galleries using this weeks sketch and so decided to do the same.
The Color Challenge, I had all the colours on my pallet from making previous card so just went with what I had an it worked out well.
Instead of stamping the image with very pale neutral ink I stamped the image onto some scrap paper then using my light tablet I painted the image direct onto the shimmering white card stock.
While this was drying I made the background by sponging Distress Evergreen Bough Over some Shimmering White card stock and then using my splatter brush splattered water then when that was dry splattered some of the gold/yellow in smaller blobs, I also made a panel for the inside once this was dry I put it all together and stamped the greeting in Ranger Super fine Black embossing powder.
Thanks for looking. Cheers Marg

Well, you are so clever to use the light tablet and I definitely see no lines. Very pretty card and love the background, also.

Beautiful. I like how you colored the bird for your own enjoyment. Wasn't that an encouraging piece of advice from Lydia? Then using the same colors you have the perfect complementary BG panel. The gold splatters send this composition to the next level. Perfect.

Your bird on a branch is beautifully done and that aqua panel with the gold spatters- ooh la la
A light box is obviously a great addition to getting a wonderful image from all kinds of sources.

Beautiful background you've created here for your adorable bird! Would have not thought of using a light tablet for coloring your bird, great idea! TFS
