I made this card for the ABC double letter challenge: LS. "L" for lots of layers and "S" for salutation or sentiment.
This was a fun technique...a friend showed me how to do it yesterday. It was such fun that I made 2 cards.
The hardest part was choosing which papers to use. For this card I chose 4 bright patterned papers. It's best to choose small patterns for your papers.
Base layer: green 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Layer 2: pink 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Layer 3: yellow 3 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Layer 4: bright diamond pattern 2 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Use removable tape to attach layers 2, 3, and 4 together. Centering each layer on top of the next layer, starting with the largest layer on the bottom. Put your die sentiment in the center and cut through all 3 layers.
Carefully remove the "hello" die from the center, keeping all 3 layers together. Then, cut the 3 layers apart in the middle (horizontally at 1 7/8"). You will have 2 pieces of each colored layer now.
Take your base layer and attach (glue) layer 2 at top and bottom of base layer, next attach layer 3 (top & bottom) and then layer 4 (top & bottom).
In the center of your completed panel, use 3D pop dots to attach one of your "hello" die cuts. I also added a "Candie" dot embellishment on each side of my hello. You could substitute brads if you choose to. Then, I glued my completed panel onto my card.
This "hello" die cut had both a shadow and the die cut word. So I cut the "hello" word and layered it on the pink shadow die cut.
I'm sure my description is as clear as mud! But, I did try!

Oh my gosh, I love this version too with the bright papers and the pretty brads. I also like how you layered the word hello on this card. This is really fun Gracie and a terrific card for the LS challenge too! ~Karen.
