Yay for a day off! DH requested a get well card for the wife of a friend who has been in hospital for over a week now. He didn't like any of the humorous punny ones in my stash, he's happy with this. I used Cathy's Celebrate June challenge as a kick-off point and made some rolled roses from felt. The background is a mop-up job from one of my stencilled backgrounds with Brusho on paste. The seam binding was also a mop-up job from some Brusho project. I embossed the background layer with Pinewood Planks, stamped Gorgeous Grunge in gold over it and sponged the edges lightly with green for definition. I did add some tiny pearls into the rose centres, but haven't managed to incorporate three June symbols for bonus points. The little bee is K&Co.

Felt roses? How lovely! Love your "mop up" leftovers!

I love every element of this card, but I am really taken by the gold specks in the pinewood planks! A small element, but it really enhances the whole presentation!
