Karen has some bold colors for us this week and I thought I would give them a little retro spin, especially since she called for using a focal point greeting for dessert and I have a new set of dies to break in.
I used all three colors with the layered coffee die. The Old Olive layer seemed a bit dark for me so I added a layer of vellum. I thought the embossing on the white kind of echoes the retro idea.
Thanks so much for looking. You will have fun with this one if you can join us with the challenge!

Oh, Chris! How fun and adorable! I love the sentiment and the way you arranged all the elements. Adding the vellum is perfect for muting the background design to spotlight the greeting! So cute!

This is awesome, Chris! I couldn't agree more with your sentiment LOL!! The vellum layer was a great way to mute the Old Olive base, thanks for the reminder of how well that works. Love this cute card!

Adorable card Chris! You've definitely inspired me to use more vellum, I've not used it in years! I love the muted effect! Love the textured background, really does have a retro flair! TFS

I love the sentiment because I can TOTALLY relate!
The die cut coffee cups in the challenge colors look super super together. What a clever idea to tone down the green portion with vellum. Very lovely card!
