For Dina's Cosy Up MIXed media challenge. It's pretty much quilt weather here today, I have my handknit socks and the heat back on. But I've ended up with a cold, crisp card.
The patchwork flower was cut from two scraps of shaving foam backgrounds from Monday's TLC, the centre (about invisible) is the coffee filter from a print with Brushos, and the little MFT button on top is a scrap of Bokeh background. The leaves are cut from a piece of nail polish marbling. The background layer was a total fail at using glass bead gel mixed with ??? to make it opaque white. It's been sitting on my desk for a couple of months now. I had trouble trimming it down to size because of the glass beads, so I went with a distressed look. The little heart border was also on my desk so I tucked it up at the top, then matted this piece on black. Added the LOTV tag. The button is tied with a scrap of yarn that I trimmed off my sock, LOL. Flower and leaves are popped up on foam tape because the texture was so rough that I would have had to get the hot glue gun out.

Man am I sorry I got rid of nail polishes I did not like with my skin tone....I could have done that technique! But it might be a way to use up the last bits...
Omgoodness that cracked me up about the bit of wool off your sock! Hard for me to believe there was a piece hanging off to begin with! You have always shown me ways to be industrious with things but that is a new one! LOL And it goes with the colors!
Your "fail" looks like a lace pattern over the print paper to me. And the rough surface is like fabric.
