I needed to have a little lay down after creating this, it's CAS. Actually this came together very easily using the terrific technique Kia showed us for the very first challenge for WATERCOLOUR WEDNESDAY - WCW001. There is a video by a lovely Aussie lady.
Back to this F4A537 card, I did the watercolour look ink smooshing technique using a few Distress inks. Once nice and dry I stamped this ancient stamp (one of the first clear stamps I ever bought) using my MISTI and black Stazon ink.
The sentiment is courtesy of a 4 year old I saw on TV, telling her grandma that, "I can't wait to NOT miss you grandma". This is going to a girlfriend that I am missing. We often joke about doing something athletic, then we reach for the olives and cheese and pour a glass of wine LOL.
I typed the sentiment on my portable Olivetti typewriter and adhered with a glue stick. I used a glue stick to layer the pushbike, the glue stick gives you time to wriggle the layers a bit and get them lined up easily.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to get inky with our F4A537 "Wheels" challenge and "Watery" with the very first WCW001 challenge.
EDIT: DH just saw this card on my desk and commented that it needed bling. He was right, I added sparkly Stickles to the lamps. He's a keeper.

Oh - WOW- this is just so very Un Susie like. Definitely CAS and stunning in black, grey whites. Very appropriate sentiment too. I am with you on doing something athletic at the moment - pass the cheese, olives and wine please Though I must admit I do miss my aqua exercise class as everything is starting to stiffen up with arthritis again. Going to check out the new Wednesday Water Colour Challenge.

I love everything about this card. The sentiment, the bike silhouette next to the lamp pole, muted colors of early evening. For me, it evokes a bit of mystery and sadness. But in a good way, like a remembrance. I don't know if I'm even making sense. But I love this card.

This is such a cool CAS card Susie and I know what you mean about having to lie down after doing CAS. It’s awesome. TFS. Happy day and keep well my mate over East. I think spring has come back again over this way LOL

Susie, I love the textured stamping on the bg and the lovely combo of lamp post and bicycle. The sentiment is very sweet and so apt for today. I need to make another bicycle card, as my daughter and her family bike a lot.

BEAUTIFULLY DONE for BOTH challenges! I LOVE THIS, Susie! I SHOULD HAVE gone with your idea with the water color! LOL I used too many colors (And kept going darker...) & the wc paper didn't work so well for me.... LOL (I've not posted it YET & I am not done yet either!) You did an AWESOME JOB on this, Susie!!! ;)<3

You know I am going to love this - there is so much interest here and I love how you used the smooshed technique too. I do love the doodle, and wish I could do it, I fail miserably every time I dare attempt it, so I finally accepted that and have moved on. Awesome card and thank you for mentioning the WCW Susie.
