I have really been wanting to try the tea bag stamping and have been playing around with it a bit. The new Watercolor challenge is perfect for it. Those tea bags surprisingly take ink well. This was an ice tea bag I completely cut open after drying.
I applied my ink smoosh in a swiping motion and did a different color of ink at a time (two blues and one red - one of the blues was a dioxide) to kind of mimic stripes in a very loose way.
I have to say that I am totally excited about the new challenge, Kia and team. All of you inspire me with your beautiful use of ink and paint. I know I will learn a lot!

Oh wow Nancy this looks amazing. I thought teabag stamping was a name for a technique, i didn't realise you use actual teabags. Everything about this is awesome my friend.

Oh my goodness Nancy, incredible is what this is. Wonderful colours and I really like the look of the tea bag. Like Susie, I did not realize you used an actual tea bag, I thought it was the stain from tea. So I learned something new today. Thanks Nancy for spending time with us in our first ever Watercolour Challenge.

Nancy, this is such a fabulous creation. I love how you used the tea bag and created for the w/c challenge at the same time. Plus, that is such a super soldier scene. I am thrilled you played in our first w/c challenge.
