This tag is for the Teapot Tickle Party....the second one I have made. It is also for the Free for All challenge adding sparkle.
Those of you who saw my first tag....which I love LOL...but I love messy. I was thinking of people who may not like mixed media or messy and maybe I should make a second one. So that is what I did today during the VSN and whilst chatting with friends on zoom who were also crafting. In between the challenges and afterwards I started and finished this tag.
Well, not quite. I have just noticed that I didn't add a sentiment but may not add one....will think about that today. Also the back will have patterned paper on it and a message.
Once I find out who I am to tickle, I will choose between this one and the one I did yesterday. DH tells me he likes the funky one from yesterday LOL.
Back to this one. Acrylic paints rubbed through the stencil in 2 different blues and also white gesso, baby wipe used to take off some of the paint. Funky stamps stamped around the edges in black. Yellow paint rubbed through a polka dot stencil.
Muslin dyed in yellow ink, chipboard added. Flower stamped and water coloured using my sparkly Kuretake paints...love those paints. Fussy cut.
My first oopsy came whilst I was asking my friends I was zooming with what I should put behind the flower when they suggested a doily. Out came the doilies, one cut in half, sponged lightly in tutti Frutti...it was sitting on my table at the time LOL....when it didn't look right. Threw that thought aside and got out more muslin and left it naked. I was just about to staple my flower onto my muslin when oopsy my leaf fell off....one had already fallen off my chipboard and now off my flower. In my defence it was still early for me.
Flower plonked on top of the white muslin....another product I love and chipboards. Out came the ribbon and as I am not a good bow maker, one of my friends suggested I knot it. What a good idea. Plonked on top of where I had joined the leaf...phew, that was close.
Wink of stella added to the chipboard for more sparkle and done....maybe.
Now I just have to decide which one I will send for the Tickle.
TFL. Happy day

When I saw this blue lagoon, my first thought was, "Cast your nets to the right side" but instead of the haul of fishes the apostles got you snagged a festive flower. And while this has a charm all it's own, I have to say it's the 3 maids who stole my heart.

What a wonderful background, Jayne. And beautiful flower, it would make a good embroidery design. I do love reading your descriptions, they bring the whole process to life.
