I created a background for this card using acrylic paints and a credit card and the three colours - red, white and blue.
I then hunted through my collection of inks - and couldn't find a dark blue one - not one! Then I remembered the Adirondack Inks of old and thought there couple possibly be a dark blue ink there. Unearthed them from the back of the cupboard and didn't hold out much hope that they would be still inky as I haven't used them in years. There it was an inkpad called Denim. Wonders of wonders it was still inky too. Bonus. Stamped the Darkroom Door frame and then the sentiment in red - yes another Adirondack ink. Now the inks won't be put back out of sight again.
Hope you enjoy my inky, painty card.

Wow, wow, wow! This is super duper fabulous Helen. I love both of your Teapotter creations. I have that brand (and colour) ink too, still as juicy as ever too.

What great sentiments you have. Well done on digging up that old ink so that you are truly blue, white and red.
This sentiment made me think of my cousin, who is a painter. At one stage she went into the camera sales/repair shop with her current camera. They took one look at at and said "but it's got paint all over it". She works in oils, and she uses it to record her progress. Full credit to them, in spite of that they loaned her camera to keep her going while repairing that one!

I so love the acrylic paint - credit card swipe! So much fun and you always get interesting results! Looks great on this card and the sentiment is sad but true for me.
