The lace was tied into the Petal Pink bow (I made a loop with the Petal Pink ribbon, added two lengths of the lace, then wrapped the other end of the ribbon around the loop like normal).
To create the background: punch or cut about 27 1" squares of patterned paper (this is an excellent way to use up scraps). Glue them on to the cardstock (I did not measure the distance between each one). Then run the finished piece through your machine in an embossing folder. It looks SOOOO pretty!!
To finish the background, I picked up Champagne Mist glimmer paint with an Aqua Painter/paintbrush and smacked it with my bone folder. It does go everywhere in a fine splatter so be careful!
The "merci" is die-cut from both Basic Black and Champagne Foil. The black die-cut was glued on first and the champagne one glued slightly off-set on top.
Thanks for looking!

Using up scraps is such a good idea. Beautiful card!
