This was a simple yet elaborate in some areas card. I mounted the napkin on colored c/s so I would get a shaded background, not just a plain white background. Tape made the background look striped (where I used tape on background). And the plaid background is shades of blue and white. Even the Washi tape used is a shade of blue, with glitter Inside the red card is white area to write on.

Wow! this card is really stunning. I adore the plaid background and I love the tip you gave on adhering your napkin to colored cardstock for a colored background- fabulous! I love the touch of sparkle too! ~Karen.

A red card base, what fun, even though it's always extra work to add the insert to write on. Your poppies are beautiful - the striped effect, while it sounds as if it wasn't what you intended, looks great to me.

Cool napkin to jumpstart your project and I adore all the alternate shades of blue you used - The glittered edge seems to sparkle a bit of all the other blues you used plus a few of it's own.
