I placed a piece of washi tape over the water colour paper on an angle. Stamped on the flowers with memento black ink. Water coloured the image, but the ink ran and got muddy looking :(
I placed a stencil over top of the image and sponged coastal cabana and green galore. I removed the stencil and then sponged lightly over top of the image with coastal cabana. Removed the washi tape and stamped on the sentiment. Added stickles to the flower centers. Matted with black cardstock. Sewed around the edge. Glued on the black butterfly. Added black stickles to the butterfly body. Finished the inside of the card.

Beautiful floral sample for the sketch challenge, Patricia. Never even noticed the "muddy" look until I read it in your description...just looked watercolored to me! Love your stitching and pretty colors!

Love the idea of masking on this. I may have to make another card for this challenge and try that. Thanks for the inspiration. Your colors are fabulous.
