This card is for the Alpha challenge. GA = G'Day eoefrome Australia. The G'day Mate stamp is also from an adventure stamp set...another A lol.
I have been wanting to try the shaving foam technique for a while and yesterday morning was the time. DH only has gel shaving stuff and that does not foam much but I work with what I have. After reinking the sort of foam i twirled it around with my chicken skewer stick which we Aussies have a few of...well we do for the Barbie. I did use a stencil first and made some stencilled panels and then twirled more and slapped my CS down and twirled them around a bit. I ended up with some cool panels...quite a lot of them...which will come in handy for the future. The technique is very easy and one I can see myself using a lot. I love BGs. I did heat some of them and got some cool texture. I read that after letting the panels dry, you wipe the remaining residue off but mine did not have any...that stuff does not foam up a lot so guess who will be adding shaving foam to her shopping list.
Ok..back to the card. I chose this one as it had a lot of colours on it and reminded me of our beautiful sunsets and colours we get with lots of purple and pinks. Stamped my map of Oz and Tassie on...quite a few times. Stamped my G'Day Mate and added my bling. I also went over my Oz with clear wink of Stella and it's sparkly IRL.
Die cut the panels and plonked my panel on top of those. The card base is actually a bright yellow but looks green here...not sure how that happened.
Bling added and that is when I realised I had forgotten my word from...I knew I had one somewhere but late at night on zoom chatting with 11 other friends from this site my brain was not in gear lol, so I am leaving it as is. Inside the sentiment says something about always taking the dirt roads...I shall send this to one of my dirty girl friends lol.
I live in the big State..WA.
TFL. Happy day and keep safe.

Jayne I loved your write-up as much as the end result and you live in the best State, I would move back in a heartbeat. I digress..your card is fantastic, your shaving cream technique is brilliant and i love your stamping and layered panels. Aldi shaving gel is brilliant for this technique and gives a beautiful result, just like this,so keep doing what you are doing my west coast Aussie mate.

Playing with the hubby's shaving cream is so much fun, isn't it, Jayne? I've always loved that technique and the results are different every time. Beautiful bg filled with lovely swirls of color! I like seeing your country and the different parts of it too~

I didn't get a good look at this beauty yesterday! It flashed by too quickly! That image is so awesome. Great job on the GA Challenge, Janye! My shaving cream attempts never turn out this gorgeous!
I was not coloring House-Mouse images yesterday, but cutting down and organizing 12 x 12 papers into 6 x 6 pieces! Now I can find what I'm looking for!

What a gorgeous card this is Jayne. I just love your shaving cream technique you used to showcase the wonderful country of Australia by. I have not tried this technique before, but I may give it a go after seeing what you have done here. I really love the matted layers you have in the upper left-hand corner of the card - this is very sophisticated and classy. What a fabulous card this is for the GA Alphabet challenge! ~Karen.

Fantastic card my dear friend! Fabulous colors for that map of Australia. I need to make some shaving cream panels, but I'll have to buy shave cream, as my hubby uses an electric razor and I've given up shaving. LOL Those square layers are a great backer for that panel! LOVE it! Thanks for the fun Zoom craft day! Hugs!
