Stef has an intriguing color combination for us this week: Rich Razzleberry + Flirty Flamingo + Crushed Curry with die cuts for dessert.
I couldn't figure out what I would do with these colors until I looked at a photo my dad took years ago of the sunrise over Lake Superior and noticed that the light bouncing off the whispy clouds at early morning sunrise were exactly Stef's challenge colors.
I used my usual mix of dye ink refills with a white craft to help them blend and then went back over them with darker colors in areas that I didn't want them quite so blended. It's a little dark but that also what the photo shows in the early morning pinks and purples. A different tree might have looked a little more realistic but I think the leaves on this one lighten things up a bit.
Thanks for looking!
I hope you will get a chance to stamp with us this week

Chris, you picked a perfect greeting to go with your image. The sunrise is beautiful and it is inspiring--new hope for a new day--what we all need right about now. I love the color blending you created and the tree silhouetted in the early morning!
